is there any work you can do from home that can bring in extra income?

Posted by admin on December 31st, 2009 and filed under income from home | 8 Comments »

I just want to make like 500 extra per month or so and all the e-mails you get that offer this are fake or you have to pay. How can I get work to do from home that could supplement my income. I am a teacher and a coach if you are wondering.

I am a teacher and I have my own business, that I do part time. I bring a little more than what you need per month. Just as a side note, we have an assistant principal who also works this business part time. When he started, he was coaching track had 2 little kids and going back for his masters and doing the business. He just needed to make an extra income and did. So, it is possible!

Does anyone know of a legitimate work from home job for a mother of 3?

Posted by admin on December 31st, 2009 and filed under job from home | 12 Comments »

I am a mother of 3. I would love a job, but the cost of child care would take my whole check. I would love to work from home. I’m not looking to make alot of money, just something to help with the bills. I have no experience. I don’t really want to do anything like Mary Kay because I can’t really do shows at homes. Anyone with help, I thank you in advance.

The ones that aren’t scams actually require work on your part – and if you’re in need of money soon then you’re likely to be sorely disappointed in any of those as well. Most of the legit opportunities out there take time to build – so if someone makes an outrageous claim of income it probably isn’t true ( and those that are true sure didn’t make that kind of money when they first began ).

Time & effort required – but do your own research on what is best for you, don’t take the advice of myself and others as gospel from this type of public forum.

I have other ideas that may help – one of them is an online opportunity but another is one that will require a little effort to market yourself – try some data entry for local businesses, many of them don’t have the time to do it in-house and will gladly pay someone else to do it. Professionals are a good place to start, lawyers, doctors, chiropractors, etc – they need their "in-house" folks doing other things rather than busy work.

A place of employment sent home a person for a few hours at customers request so they can dine at place of establishment. They did not want to lose in come. Because of past hear say of history as a youth. Person is not on a level or on a list. Small town. They did not check just asked him to leave and come back later. He missed two hours of paid time. should this be acceptable?

No, you don’t send employes home just because of a rumor. That’s like firing someone because their gay. Which is totally wrong.

What are the rules regarding being sick and working from home?

Posted by admin on December 31st, 2009 and filed under home working | 4 Comments »

I was taken ill 7 wks ago with voice loss. Signed off from work initially for 2 wks. Unfortunately i didnt recover so my Doctor told me that I couldnt go to work. He relented and allowed me to work from home providing I didnt speak.
When I asked for a sick note I was told that either I was working from home and not counted as sick or if I was given a sick note then I wouldnt be allowed to do any work. So it was agreed with my boss that I would work from home until recovered. Now a 2nd Dr. has signed me off work to rest for 1 wk – no work! Boss today told me that company sick pay is 12 wks which they will be backdating it to 1st Feb & whch gives me a further 7 wks in which to recover before I have to go onto statatory sick pay. It seems unfair that they can backdate the sick pay and void all the work I have done and in effect take away 5 wks worth of sick pay that I might need. Can they do this?

If they paid you for working during that time, they can’t go back and say it was all sick pay now. If you didn’t work a full forty hours each week (or whatever your regular hours are), then they can use sick pay to make up the difference. If you find out they are calling the entire time sick pay, you should complain to HR so you don’t lose benefits.

How do you stay focused while working at home?

I’m a freelance editor/writer and I work at home. I’ve got lots of good contacts and all the work I ccould want right now. The problem is that I cannot concentrate. I don’t know if I’ve lost interest in my line of work, or if I’ve developed ADD, or what. It’s so frustrating because I have always wanted to work for myself but I can’t seem to do it very well! Help?
Not interested in suggestions for Work-at-home Jobs on the Internet. Thanks.

Be wary of people posting links to money making schemes on the Internet. Most are scams or pyramid schemes where you will make little or nothing for your time. Yahoo deletes their posts and accounts but not nearly fast enough.

I have found the best way to concentrate is to work in a room that has no distractions, no TV, no kids, no view. Use an iPod and set it to play a selection of quiet tunes. The music will help overcome any other distracting noises.

Good luck.

Where do I look online to get legit online at home work?

Posted by admin on December 31st, 2009 and filed under work at home | 4 Comments »

I am tired of being scammed by sites that claim they are legitimate work at home companies. Is there such a thing. I do not want to have to spend money to work at home. I am in need of work now. Not get rich quick scams. I do have a full time job but need a second job. The only way to get a second job is for me to work from home. Please help. Anyone. No scam artists, Please.

http://safesurveysites.com Its what I do and it’s worked out pretty well. What you have to do is complete surveys and offers for companies that want the public’s opinion. No payment from you is ever required, not to sign up, not EVER.

The sites don’t get paid directly from you, but when you complete an offer or survey, they also get paid a small portion of what you earned yourself. For example, if you complete a survey about computers let’s say, you would earn maybe $2 and the web site itself would recieve $0.50 from the company also for getting you to complete the survey. These surveys take little time at all, most taking up less than even 1 or 2 minutes of your time.

They don’t need any information other than your name, email address and your home address. Yup, that is all. No credit card information, no banking information, nothing like that. All they require is your name and address so that your cheque can be sent to your home every month.

Personally I have been a member of these websites, along with thousands of other satisfied users, for approximately 1.5 years now and have earned well over $8600 by working in my spare time. This web site has been great to me, also the members and administrator are very friendly, and are always there to help you with a question or problem you may be having. I give you my word that they pay.

Is there a work from home typing job that I can get without having to pay a fee?

It is very hard to find home work. I’ve been trying for years. Any legitimate work from home job will not charge you to get started.

You can check out:

These, hopefully, will be able to help you get started.

Yes you can earn money, but you dont make much. My favorite (the only one i use) is swagbucks. You get a chance to win points for searching online using their browser. You can join by going to this link:
