In the morning, at work, on nights I don’t work out my pulse is usually between 75 and 85(once an a while as low as 68)….but during the week after I get home from working out and the rest of the night it is between 95 and 105. It doesn’t feel like it is pounding but I monitor my blood pressure(since it is high when I go to the doctor), and it’s ok usually 125/85 but pulse high.
its because your body is having to work harder to repair itself and because of that your muscles need more protein which is transported around your body by your blood. therefore your heart needs to get more blood around your body than normal and so causes a higher resting hr.
