I have been a paramedic for 3 years, working long hours away from my family. I want to spend more time with my husband and children but am having a really hard time finding a legitimate job from home. Can someone help please?
Welcome to the world of spam! This post will attract it like flies.
If you’re interested in working from home, you need to talk to job placement managers (often referred to as "head hunters").
You may also want to check into operating a home daycare business. With the right clients, you really only need a handful of children to make a decent living.

You will have a hard time with those. If you google or post, you’ll be (as others have mentioned) spammed to death.
There was one company I applied to a while ago, but I never heard anything, so I deleted their online app. They were a customer service company, paid hourly to sit home and answer the phone during certain hours. I’ll try to find the name and post the link.
I do know, however, that home shopping network hires order takers to work from home. They have to install a second phone line and have high-speed internet and certain memory/available space/antivirus requirements, and (here’s what killed my shot at it) they must live within an hour of one of the HSN’s locations.
Google Home Shopping Network and look on their careers/jobs tab. There are some in-office, and some at-home jobs. I know a girl, who does this for a living. She works 11 pm – 7 am, and takes breaks at certain times, paid hourly as well. Some nights, she’s gone 3-4 hours, without taking a phone call, but still gets paid to sit in her own chair and drink from her own coffee mug.
It SUCKS that I live more than an hour from their VA office.
